I’m Back From My Hiatus
I apologize if I’ve been MIA for the past few month. A lot has changed in my life since you last heard from me. I got a great job opportunity in the Boston area and I decided to take it and basically start a new life, it’s the best decision I’ve made in the last 5 years. It wasn’t easy, and it was scary, but I knew God had called me to do this, and so I had to trust him and follow his lead.
I love my job, I love my new company, and I love Boston and its metropolitan. What I do not love are the rent prices. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to the prices attached to the rent and real estate here.
I have been cooking a lot and making up my own recipes and trying out new ones. I know I had only started to share those with you, but it’s definitely something I want to do more. The sharing of my recipes. I’ll just have to get used to measure ingredients with other things than my eyes… And take pictures.
Have I been spending like I wanted to? Not really! Rent is ridiculous and the move was expansive too, so right now I’m in recovery. But I’m ready to start back and continue what I had barely started.
Remember my goals. Well, I managed to grow celery, dill, kale and tomatoes. I enjoyed all of them throughout the summer; especially the tomatoes. Now that winter is upon us, the tomatoes have since long died, the herbs are in my kitchen barely surviving, but still alive and usable. I did lose 5 of the 20 lbs, then gain it back. I blame it on my company. They have food in the office ALL THE TIME!!! I gain the RV 15 (freshman 15).
So I’m refreshing those and declaring that I’m starting over, or continuing, however you want to see it. Wish me luck.
